Neighborhood Watch is a nationally recognized, proven crime
prevention tool. Participating neighbors meet with police and learn how to keep
their homes safe. Follow-up meetings cover topics such as personal safety and
fraud. Watch groups participate in National Night Out, an international crime
prevention program designed to show the "bad guy" that citizens are united
against crime. Watch groups participants also receive a quarterly newsletter
distributed by the Ashwaubenon Public Safety Department. The newsletter keeps
participants alerted to current crime trends, and included tips to keep your
family safe. The Village of Ashwaubenon currently has 39 active neighborhood
watch groups, with over 600 watch participants, scattered throughout its
boundaries.
