Trained volunteers conduct public tours of the department, call victims of property crimes for case follow-up, host McGruff Houses, help with fundraising for crime prevention programs, prepare mailings to Neighborhood Watch Coordinators, fingerprint children at community events, and help out at special events whenever needed. We have added a new volunteer program - Home Security Survey Teams - four 2-person teams (all volunteers) that gointo residences and conduct home security surveys. The surveys result in suggestions to make homes as safe as possible.

We also have 350 Neighborhood Watch Coordinators who volunteer their time, along with respective block captains.

Date Established: January 1992

To date we have 100 volunteers!
